“The black femme sets to work on questions concerning the creation of the common under circumstances of domination, exploitation, and oppression” - Kara Keeling The Witch's Flight: The Cinematic, the Black Femme, and the Image of Common Sense p.7
Greetings! My name is Faithe, or FJ Day, and I am an academic, educator, content creator and curator in the realm of new and emerging media. My work operates at the intersection of race, gender, sexuality, and technology through research and projects that engage with a Black queer and femme digital praxis. This site serves as a space to host my writing, research, and creative projects as well as a living documentation of my courses, presentations, and weekly musings so I hope that you find it both interesting and instructive.
